DYNIX/ptx System Administration III
Course Goal:
This advanced system administration course teaches alternate methods and guidelines for performing ongoing network and security management. Attendees will learn to implement security measures and manage a TCP/IP network.Audience: This course is for experienced system and network administrators
responsible for the administration and management of a DYNIX/ptx system running DYNIX/ptx v4.5.Prerequisites: DYNIX/ptx System Administration II course and at least six
months of DYNIX/ptx administration experience.Course Objectives:
Plan and implement the installation of the Network File System (NFS)
Configure NFS
Implement NFS Security
Configure DNS on a network
Configure Sendmail Version 8
Configure and use the Error and Event Subsystem.
Implement TCP/IP Security
Configure and use security tools found on the Internet
Configure auditing and interpret reports
