Hey, it's great hardware.  And we've been supporting it since the first Balance 8000 rolled off the line in 1984.  If you need help with any Sequent branded hardware or DYNIX/ptx software, drop us an email or give us a call.  No charge for questions that take less than 10 minutes to answer ;-).  We can provide contract  support, or ad hoc queries as time allows.

Effective 1/1/2008, IBM  no longer takes support calls for DYNIX/ptx or NUMA-Q.  (ref).  But we still do.  We will even help you out on Symmetry systems.

Links to Sequent Information

IBM's web pages no longer carry much info about the former Sequent products.  Here are some links to some useful information:

Sequent Documentation Online  Current NUMA-Q and DYNIX/ptx docs on the Web.

comp.sys.sequent  The USENET newsgroup, not much traffic, but still useful for getting questions answered.

Some alternatives to IBM Sales and Service

DMA Inc. (that's this site) provides support and training for DYNIX/ptx.  No charge for questions that take less than 10 minutes to answer ;-)

Trine Services is a supplier of Sequent hardware.  They are more knowledgeable than IBM when it comes to hardware upgrades for Symmetry, S2000, and S5000 equipment.  They also provides hardware support for Sequent and HP systems.

Byk Computers resells, installs, and provides hardware support for NUMA-Q equipment.
